About Stone Ridge Construction

Russ Harding and Danny Mellen met and became good friends while working for Walker Brothers Lumber Co. throughout the early and mid 1990′s.

In 1998, with very little money and a huge amount of determination, they decided to start Hammers For Hire Design/Build Remodeling. Over the past fourteen years they have seen many changes in local markets and the remodeling industry, but one thing has never changed, their passion for detail and their loyalty to each other, not only as business partners but also as good friends. The customer has always come first to the both of them and it shows in the relationships they have established.

As the company enters its 15th year, Russ and Danny made the decision to change the company name from Hammers For Hire to Stone Ridge Construction. Over the last few years they have received feedback from new and old clients that the name Hammers For Hire resembles that of a handyman business versus the full service construction company that they have become.

Danny and Russ have set and accomplished many business and personal goals over the past fourteen years but they both feel there is nothing greater than being dedicated husbands and loving fathers.
